Finance Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for general financial administration and reporting duties.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of management accounts (including Balance Sheet and Cash Flow)
  • Preparation of Quarterly Board Reporting
  • Preparation of Monthly Executive Committee and Board Presentations
  • Preparation of internal management Reports
  • Investigation and Reporting of variances/ movements in the Management Accounts through critical analyses
  • Conducting Departmental OPEX Management Account review meetings and providing feedback on expenditure
  • Assist with the costing of products;
  • Assist in the preparation of annual Budgets and Forecasts
  • Support business with costing of projects, services and business functions * Supervise finance administration staff

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Accounting plus (5) five years’ experience in a financial administration environment
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Understanding of accounting processes and practices and their impact on financial reporting *Understanding of IFRS and Tax legislation
  • Working knowledge of an accounting system

Production Master Scheduler/Planner

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Production Master Scheduler/Planner shall be responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, releasing and tracking of workflow through the production departments to ensure timely availability of products. OBP has recently implemented Navision Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 as an ERP system and is in the process of implementing the Tectura Life Sciences process manufacturing modules.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and establish the master production schedule using the company forecast
  • Review and update master production schedule weekly or as required
  • Ensure all resources are available to meet the schedule developed
  • Monitor the manufacturing process and initiate necessary steps to maintain conformity with schedules to ensure timely availability of products
  • Interface and coordinate between production, procurement, quality control, quality assurance, engineering, sales, distribution and finance departments
  • Work with procurement, production and distribution to develop and maintain accurate and efficient inventory stock levels
  • Identify and communicate current and potential problems and opportunities so the production team can make appropriate decisions
  • Participate in production meetings
  • Produce flow diagrams with work order routes for each product manufactured
  • Assist with accuracy, development, documentation and implementation of procedures and standards
  • Become a backup super user on the ERP process manufacturing system
  • Make sure there is IT and systems improvements
  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BSc degree – business or technical
  • APICS or similar certification is desirable
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting and or in materials management
  • Experience in ERP systems
  • Experience and knowledge of Navision Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 is preferred
  • The following will be an added advantage: Experience and knowledge of Tectura Life Science process manufacturing modules; experience in a biological/pharmaceutical environment and/or experience working within an ISO 9001 quality system
  • Experience in analysing variances and reporting skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Team player able to work well with all levels of the organisation
  • Tenacity and ability to build relationships and influence others
  • Performance/results orientation
